Yesterday we picked up our mail. The package that Xan had sent to her cousin with birthday presents was sent back to her. My sister-in-law wrote "refused" on it.
I turned to Michael later that day and said, "Just when you think that she has behaved about as badly as she can behave she does some other really destructive thing."
Poor Xan. Why hurt an innocent 12 yr. old kid?
I am full of sadness and disbelief.

Yeah. I'm still in such disbelief over this one. What really gets me is that Artie sent a card seperately a few days before the package went out and it has not been returned. That makes it even more damaging to Xan. I just don't get it.
I'm sorry your sister-in-law is so awful. :-( Maybe the card didn't get returned because someone else got to the post before she did, so she doesn't know about it? So sad for Xan. :-(
Poor kid. It's a hard lesson, learning how very sad and angry people can get. I'm sorry she's having to learn it so young :(
